It is my first house and i need love some decorating tips and tricks you may have picked up Thank you. All suggestions are welcome!

-Bigger art makes a bigger impact.
-Art and photos normally look best with a mat
-Rooms shouldn’t have a theme other than colors
-It takes a skilled decorator to make dark walls look good
-Accent walls rarely look as good as people expect them to, its a highly overrated trend
-Look at what you already have (and love) to decide on what to do next.
-Browing online before shopping in stores saves you a lot of time
-Target and Walmart furniture is crap. If you don’t have much money, you’re better off driving 100 miles to an Ikea.
-JC Penney is a surprisingly great resource for window treatments
-Etsy is a great place to buy art

As a student that has no money for decorating supplies I dont have all the things needed to decorate a cake. I have decorating tips and ziploc bags but im not sure on if I can use them together. How would I secure the tip with the bag?

Make a small cut on the corner of the ziplock bag.
Slide the decorating tip into the corner.
Put your frosting in the bag.
Push the frosting into the corner where the tip is.
As long as the hole is not too big the presure from the fosting should hold the tip in place.
